The Yearning Of Our Soul

We all are yearning for the one true living God. Yes including you. You may not yet believe it but your very soul yearns for the God who has created you and all things. The God who knew you before you were even formed in your mother’s womb. Since the fall of man in the garden of Eden, our souls have been craving for a deeper connection with the Creator. Just think about it. We were once in perfect fellowship with God, but because of sin, what was once intimate, tangible, perfected, and gave that perfect peace and wholeness was severed and spoiled by a decision . Now because sin entered the world by one mans life altering decision, our souls are now in search of being in perfect harmony again. This is not only the case for unbelievers but believers included. Some are doing good works as a way to get back into Gods good graces. Many attempt to do works to fulfill what Jesus has already fulfilled for us on the Cross. This is not to say that the work done unto the Lord is bad. This is in reference to holding the misconception that doing good works is how you reach Salvation and staying saved. To clear that confusion, know that a believer is saved by grace, and not by works. Works follow. Know that unbelief in the finished works of Jesus is the stumbling block (Romans 11:7).
There is an unsettlement within the souls of those who have become disconnected to the vine, in those running to temporary fixes that can not seem to bring complete fulfillment, those looking for that next high, that next relationship, that next distraction, to the next thing that has trapped them into thinking as if, that “thing” is where true happiness lies, but to only find themself feeling incomplete still. That void that is felt is a void of separation. They are yearning for what once was. We all desire for what once was, which was being in perfect fellowship with our Creator who brings true wholeness. The yearning and seeking for things or substances, has lead many into hurtful situations that has created a deeper hole in themselves which In many cases they direct towards others.
Please understand that Jesus is the connection back to what once was. He has torn the veil that separated us from the living God. He has taken all of our sins and wiped it away. He is the mediator that stands before God on our behalf. Because of His sacrifice, Jesus has fulfilled what we could not fulfill with sacrifices and works. He has filled that void for good. Please take hold of that truth and believe in what He has done for you. He has made us all new again because of His love for each one of us. All He asks, is for us to take hold of His gift of salvation. Worship Him, praise Him, get into His word, because that is where nourishment of your soul takes place. Believing in what He has done for you, sets you free. As believers we are now clothed in righteousness.
I urge you to keep at the forefront of your minds, that you have been set free by One’s (Jesus) choice of redemption that paid the penalty for us, once and for all. Live in that freedom today as you wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a reunion that will be.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
