The God Who Creates

Updated: Feb 28

Our Heavenly Father is not a God of waste. There is not one thing that He will not use for His divine purpose. He will use the good, bad, and the ugly. Everything God created was good (1 Timothy 4:4). All things were created through Him, and for Him (1 Corinthians 1:16). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and we can see our Creator as a God of purpose from the time of creation. We serve an intentional God who loves to create. Let us go back to the beginning with Adam and Eve. When they fell, God did not look at them as a failure and disregard them and deem them as useless, He instead still chose them and viewed them as purposeful. Humanity was created through them. Our God is a life giver. After all, He did speak life into existence. I know that statement may seem far fetched for some but faith is believing what you can not see including what you can not humanly understand. The earth was initially without form and dark, but God created light and life from the darkness (Genesis 1). I remember my pastor sharing at a gifted class I had attended, that God is drawn to chaos. That truth has stuck with me and resurfaces to my mind constantly. When I look at my life over the years and even at the life of those we read about in the Word of God, I see so much truth in that. Remember the story about Abraham and Sarah? You see them taking matters into their own hands because of their child bearing doubts, so chaos between Hagar and Sarah had developed (Genesis 16). The Lord used this moment of chaos for His divine purpose and Abraham became the father of many nations. Now let us fast forward to the Israelites. We know of their story really well. The israelites were in slavery for many years but God took this opportunity to raise up a man (Moses) who was monumental in their story of redemption. Next, take Paul who was formerly known as Saul who persecuted the church in the name of religion, but ultimately was radically transformed for God's purpose. We see in each of their story and many throughout the Bible, that God used what that enemy meant for evil, for His opportunity to create and redeem. Jesus went through the most chaos, as He bore all of our sins on the cross. Can you imagine all that He bore for us? Can you imagine Him feeling all of our pain, sorrow, hurt, betrayal, and sickness, just to redeem us? I don't think we can fully understand the magnitude of His sacrifice. Now that is unconditional love. That right there, is the greatest redemption story of them all. Through the chaos Jesus endured, something divine was created. Because of His grace, we have been given a new life in Him.

I believe that there is an awakening occurring right now. Many are coming out of their sleep and minds are being restored. The "dry bones" are coming alive. I know the Lord has revived me after having experienced what I have come to call a state of "emotional distress". He showed me how to endure it, and saw me through it. He also taught me, like birthing pains, though it was uncomfortable, draining and emotional, He was birthing and creating something new. He is the God who redeems. He is the God who creates. I believe that when there is a spiritual awakening, hearts are revived. This awakening will be like a ripple effect. Know that an awakening breathes life. Hearts are revived because they have been restored. Many hearts inclined to God's heart brings a mighty move of God. Get ready. Remember, as a believer in Jesus Christ, it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you (Galatians 2:20). You have the mind of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 2:16).

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28 NKJV

By faith [that is, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power, wisdom and goodness of God] we understand that the worlds (universe, ages) were framed and created [formed, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose] by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

Hebrews 11:3 AMP
